Dr. Cassie Benedick is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist with advanced training in pediatrics, orthokeratology, and complex contact lens fittings.
Like her colleague Dr. Virdee, Dr. Benedick’s passion for optometry began when she received her first pair of glasses as a young child. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as an Optometry Technician for the Eyeworks Group in Fort Worth. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University, she attended the College of Optometry at the University of Houston, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. There, she developed focused specialties in pediatric vision, vision therapy, and specialty contact lenses.
Since beginning her career in 2013, Dr. Benedick has developed a passion for family-centered care, she loves working with children and helping local families achieve better eye health through personalized, compassionate care. Dr. Benedick is excited to finally be practicing medicine in the Flower Mound/Lewisville community where she has called home for the past decade.
When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending DFW and Aggie sporting events, watching her kids at their many extracurricular activities, and traveling. She is also a founding member and volunteer at her church, RockPointe – Parker Square.
Dr. Benedick a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Texas Optometric Association (TOA), Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.
